Pictures [by the incredible MICHEL DANIEL!] and media [films by the amazing MELODY GILBERT!] on this site are from our first run at The Ritz Theater in Minneapolis which was helmed by multi-award-winning director/choreographer Myron Johnson (Ballet Of The Dolls, The Education of Randy Newman) which opened in May of 2009 and ran for three weeks.
How did our maiden voyage fare? Local media was extremely supportive. Audiences responded. Positive word of mouth spread. By the end of the run, The Ritz was full and people were on their feet. Influential live-performance blog Howwastheshow.com put it this way: "I’m not sure the last time I saw a show with such fresh energy bursting with so much clear potential. Venus is a no brainer for audiences to root for."
